Keeping Your Kamado In Tip Top Condition.

Cleaning

Keeping your grill clean is very important, smoke from grease build up isn't a nice flavour to add to your cooks. For best results light a good amount of charcoal and leave with all the vents open for 10-20 minutes. This will burn off any grease inside and turn any food on cooking surfaces into carbon. Do not use any chemicals on the inside of the grill. Hot soapy water can be used on the outside A food safe sanitiser on the side shelves and handle.

Cart and Wheels

You might start to get grease build up on the cart and wheels over time. Both can be washed with hot soapy water. Please store in a dry area if not being used for long periods of time.

Nuts and Bolts

We recommend you checking and tightening all nuts and bolts every month. The Ceramic base is very heavy which puts a-lot of pressure on those joints.

Gasket

Probably the easiest part to look after, keep away from direct flame and clean with a damp cloth.

Fuel

Store in a dry place, exposing the dry coals to moisture will make them harder to light.

Rotisserie

The fire ring is hand wash only, the rod and forks are dishwasher safe.

Ash Removal

With our smart ash catcher, we have made this job very easy. We recommend emptying after every 3-5 cooks for best airflow. For more information please watch out youtube video
